CRYBABY TRUMP Says ‘The Case is Going Fine,’ While Also Whining About How Badly It’s Going

As the second week of Donald Trump’s election interference (aka hush money) case winds up, Trump is providing a bit of legal analysis for the gathering press outside the courtroom. As usual, Trump’s perspective is utterly devoid of anything resembling reason, or for that matter, reality.

Donald Trump Circling the Drain

From the outset of the trial Trump has lambasted the judge, the prosecutors, witnesses, jurors, and of course, the media. His cranky condemnations led to multiple findings of contempt of court for violating his gag order. Trump was fined $9,000.00 for his mouthing off, and was warned that further such offenses could result in incarceration.

In light of these events, Trump gave a laughably optimistic assessment of his legal prospects going forward. He began his courtside carping on Friday morning complaining about how dismally the case was proceeding. He specifically whines that prosecutors are trying to make it “salacious.” However, salaciousness is inescapable in any case that involves someone cheating on his wife with a porn star and a Playboy model, and paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to cover it up. Undeterred by reality, Trump’s rosy summation began…

“So I just want to tell you that the case is going fine. We have a corrupt D.A. We have a corrupt judge who shouldn’t be on this case. And it’s a disgrace to America. And it’s a disgrace to our court system.

“Going just fine” is an odd way of describing things that are allegedly mired in corruption and disgrace. Ignoring his own perversely positive outlook, Trump goes on yammering about how badly the case is actually going. He includes outright lies that he “won” the case on appeal, and that the judge was ignoring the determination by the appellate court. That, of course, didn’t happen.

What’s curious about all of this is how Trump explains that “the case is going fine” while simultaneously complaining about how awful everything is. It reveals a psychological malfunction that causes him to insist that he is always a winner, and that everything he does is successful. Even when the facts, as he himself presents them, are contrary to that preposterously sunny scenario. And we can expect that Trump will continue to boast about his unparalleled, albeit imaginary, triumphs straight through to the jury’s verdicts of his guilt. Because that’s how malignant narcissists handle their fantasy worlds.
